Viigo Contest Details

How does Viigo's BlackBerry contest work?
  • Viigo will announce one winner a month. For each friend you invite who downloads Viigo, your name will be entered into the draw.
  • Every month, for the duration of the contest, which is now running indefinitely, your name goes back into the draw with each successful friend invite, for another chance to win, whether you're a winner last month or not.
  • The earlier you start inviting friends to Viigo, the better your odds are at winning.
Who is eligible to enter the contest?
  • With the exception of Viigo employees, any Viigo subscriber using a BlackBerry device is eligible to participate. Other mobile devices are not included in this particular contest.
  • Since the draw is random, you can increase your odds of winning by inviting more friends to Viigo.
If I win, can I exchange the BlackBerry for cash?
Yes. Just tell us and we'll write you a cheque for $500 USD.
How do I know how many friends have successfully downloaded Viigo?
Currently, the best way is to follow up with your friends and ensure that they're using Viigo. At the moment, we do not have the means to publish your individual results. But, in the very near future we're going to launch an 'Invite a Friend' leader-board channel that you can subscribe to (directly in Viigo) and you'll be able to see how many friends you've invited to Viigo, and how you benchmark against other Viigo users.
What options do I have to invite a friend to Viigo?
Currently, the only way to get credit for the Giveaway is by using the 'Invite a Friend' feature in the Viigo application (note – in older versions of Viigo it's called 'Refer a Friend') found by clicking the BlackBerry menu button from the homescreen. In the near future there will be two other ways that you can get credit for inviting friends to Viigo: 1) from the web, accessing your contact books from popular webmail services like hotmail and gmail, etc. 2) by Word of Mouth. Stay tuned to Viigo Bulletins for more updates on these methods.
What if I verbally tell a friend to download Viigo. Will I still get entered into the draw?
No. You must invite them using the 'Invite a Friend' feature in the Viigo application.

1. Open Viigo to the Home Screen. 2. Select the Menu button. 3. Click on 'Invite a Friend.'

Note—in older versions of Viigo, step 3 reads 'Refer a Friend'.
When and where will the winner be announced?
At the end of each month the winner will be announced in our blog, What's New in Viigo. The winner will also be contacted via e-mail to make arrangements for the delivery of his/her prize.

Notification of Winners

Winners will be notified by e-mail within seven to ten (7–10) business days of the determination of the winner. If a selected winner does not reply to the 'winner notification' email within seven (7) days, an alternate winner will be selected from remaining valid, eligible participants.

Additional Conditions

Except where prohibited, by accepting either the iPod touch or cash equivalent, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, photo and/or likeness, biographical information, winning entry and statements attributed to winner (if true) for advertising and promotion purposes without additional compensation. Allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of the prize.

Length of Contest

The Contest will run indefinitely, and is offered at Viigo Inc.'s sole discretion. Viigo Inc. reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest or any part thereof at any time with or without notice.

General Rules

The Contest is offered by Viigo, Inc., 87 Front Street E, Suite 400, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5E 1B8, which is not responsible for late, lost, delayed, damaged, postage-due, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected communications, or other correspondence, whether by e-mail or postal mail or otherwise, or for theft or destruction or unauthorized access or alterations of any Contest or related contest materials, phone, electrical, network, computer, hardware, software giveaway or transmission malfunctions, failures or difficulties.

You further agree to release, indemnify, defend and hold Viigo Inc., affiliates, directors, officers, employees, Viigo Inc.'s and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, and assigns, and any other organizations related to the Contest, harmless, from any and all claims, injuries, damages, expenses or losses to person or property and/or liabilities of any nature that in any way arise from participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of a prize or parts thereof, including without limitation (i) any condition caused by events beyond Viigo's control that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of a prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Contest; and (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest.

General

  1. Viigo Inc. reserves the right to approve, deny or revoke access to the Contest for any reason whatsoever.
  2. Viigo Inc. is not responsible for any disputes among Viigo subscribers relating to the Contest. Viigo Inc. shall not be liable for any bodily harm and/or property damage and/or lost opportunity which may result from participating in the Contest.
  3. The Contest is void where prohibited by federal, state or local law. These Contest Rules govern the award of prizes for the accrual of the Viigo Invite a Friend Contest and Viigo Inc. has no other obligations with respect to the Contest beyond those described in these Contest Rules.
  4. These Contest Rules are governed by the law of the Province of Ontario, without reference to rules governing choice of laws. Any action, suit or case arising out of, or in connection with, this Contest or these Contest Rules must be brought in either the federal courts located in Canada or the provincial courts located in the Province of Ontario.
